In this video Ashwani Thakur explains how to answer the interview question “Why Should I hire you?” in the most easy and affective way.
Here’s the answer:
How to answer the interview question: Why Should I hire you?
Well as I always say please keep in mind the 2 golden rules before you follow my advice.
Rule 1: Do not sound scripted
Rule 2: Do not show that you have already prepared for this question and are glad that the interviewer asked it.
This is another very important question and the answer to this question can lead to the wrong direction if you look confuse.
Because this is a straightforward question and one must be ready for it. Its as simple as lets say you are a salesman and you are selling a product and the client asks you why should he buy your product when there are so many others to choose from. You just can’t say give me a chance and I will show and I can only tell it if you hire me. The interviewer listens to these kind of answers regularly so give them something new. This makes them understand that you are not like the crowd.
If the interviewer is asking this question it is most likely that he is showing interest in you so you must thank him or her.
First of all I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to answer this question.
Now make sure you highlight the best thing about your product and the unique thing about your product.
You can say as many general things as you can but add atleast 1 unique point like hometown etc.
Relate yourself with the position you are applying. Tell why you are best fit for this job.
Show that you are a team player. Managers look for this quality in every new joinee.
So tell how your friends come up to you for advice and how you are a problem solver.
Never say things which indicate that you want to be hired coz u need a job but say things which answer the real question the interviewer wants to listen.
Which is: What can you do for us?
